It is best viewed with Netscape 4.7 or later and Internet Explorer 5.0 or later. Certain elements of this website require a Flash plug-in which can be obtained from Macromedia's website. The video and audio files are in Real Player format which can be downloaded free from the Real One website.

Periodic updates to the material are scheduled; the editorial committee will meet periodically to discuss changes and updates to the on-line edition.

Development work on the present edition is ongoing with the goal being to enhance the visual and functional elements of this resource. As we move forward to full implementation of this on-line project, we hope you enjoy your visit to the Tennessee Encyclopedia.
