David Crockett Birthplace State Park

With sixty-six acres situated along the scenic Nolichucky River valley in Greene County, the David Crockett Birthplace State Park features a reproduction of the log cabin where Crockett was born near the confluence of the Big Limestone Creek and the Nolichucky River. The Big Limestone Creek/Nolichucky River area in Greene and Washington Counties was a significant early settlement area; nearby is the historic Earnest Farms historic district, the earliest documented family farm in the state. The park contains a visitors' center, sixty-five improved campsites, picnic areas, swimming, and playgrounds.

Two other historic sites have been developed to commemorate former Crockett residences in Tennessee. A later Crockett dwelling from the 1820s was moved and restored as a historic site in Rutherford, Gibson County. The Crockett Tavern, a historic site administered statewide by the Hamblen County Chapter, Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities, is located in Morristown.
